Cancellation & Refunds

Courses

Due to the nature of preparation involved prior to a course commencing we are unable to offer refunds on cancellations.

 

The exceptions to this are:

1. If the tutor cancels the course for any unforeseen circumstances a full refund be given within 30 days of the course cancellation.

You may change the date of your course twice within a 6-month period.

Vouchers

All voucher purchases from Bristol Upholstery Collective are non-refundable. We do not offer refunds or cash redemption for voucher purchases under any circumstances.

 

Covid-19

The latest restrictions and safety measures can be given upon request.

 

In the event of a 'Lockdown'

We will honour your booking and rearrange your class for the next date available. You will be emailed directly to the address used for booking to confirm these arrangements.

Please be patient whilst we rearrange our busy calendars.

Missing a session 

If you miss any classes, we are unable to offer 'catch up' sessions due to the number of students enrolled and the complications of our teachers' schedules. 

If you need more time to complete a project, we suggest booking another course or getting in touch with us about suitable evening or weekend courses that may suit your needs.

 

Upholstery Materials

Any materials used will be noted and charged for at a student discount rate at the end of the term.  These are to be bought in either half or full-metre widths. This can be paid by card for a £1 charge or invoiced to your email address for transfer payment. Late payments may incur interest fees.

 

Health and Safety 

 

Covid-19: We have developed a comprehensive set of safety measures. You can see them here (link).  A health & safety talk will be given at the start of the course. 


 

General Health and Safety: 

 

Key points are: 

 

  • Wear suitable clothing and footwear.

  • Keep your work area clean and free from obstructions and debris.

  • Use equipment, machinery etc., in a correct and safe manner. 

  • Make full and proper use of personal protective equipment provided.

  • Comply with the instructions of Course Tutors concerning all aspects of health and safety.


 

If you bring your own belongings, materials, tools and equipment, you do so at your own risk.


 

A positive attitude is of utmost importance to ensure an enjoyable experience for all. Please be kind to yourself during challenging moments and remember you are learning an age-old process and are achieving advanced traditional upholstery skills to be practised and proud of.

Social Media Giveaway

1- The promoter is: Bristol Upholstery Collective Ltd (company no. 11051361) whose registered office is at 186 Wells Rd, Bristol, BS42AL.

2- The competition is open to residents of the United Kingdom aged 18 years or over except employees of Bristol Upholstery Collective and their close relatives and anyone otherwise connected with the organisation or judging of the competition.

3- There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this competition.

4- By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.

6- Only one entry will be accepted per person. Multiple entries from the same person will be disqualified.

7- Closing date for entry will be 23rd June at 9:00 AM. After this date the no further entries to the competition will be permitted.

8- No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason.

10- The promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of the promoter’s control. Any changes to the competition will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by the promoter.

11- The promoter is not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied to any entrant by any third party connected with this competition.

12- The prize is as follows:

The prize is as stated and no cash or other alternatives will be offered.The prizes are not transferable. Prizes are subject to availability and we reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.

13- Winners will be chosen at random by software, from all entries received and verified by Promoter and or its agents.

14- The winner will be notified by DM on Instagram within 28 days of the closing date.  If the winner cannot be contacted or do not claim the prize within 7 days of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner. 

15- The promoter will notify the winner when and where the prize can be redeemed. 

16- The promoter’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.

17- By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.

18- The competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by English law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England.

19- The winner agrees to the use of his/her name and image in any publicity material, as well as their entry. Any personal data relating to the winner or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current [UK] data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent.

21- This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook, Twitter or any other Social Network. You are providing your information to Bristol Upholstery Collective and not to any other party.

23- Bristol Upholstery Collective will judge the competition and decide on the winner each week, which will be picked at random from all complete entries via Twitter.

 

24- Bristol Upholstery Collective ‘s decision as to those able to take part and selection of winners is final. No correspondence relating to the competition will be entered into.

 

25- The entrant must be following @CompanyName on Twitter in order to enter.

 

26- Bristol Upholstery Collective shall have the right, at its sole discretion and at any time, to change or modify these terms and conditions, such change shall be effective immediately upon posting to this webpage.

 

27- Bristol Upholstery Collective also reserves the right to cancel the competition if circumstances arise outside of its control.
